By downloading, installing, or using Beatitude ("the App"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the App.
Description of Service
Beatitude is a macOS application that allows you to view and manage your Google Tasks. The App runs locally on your Mac and communicates directly with Google's servers via the Google Tasks API. We do not operate servers that store or process your data.
Google Account Requirements
To use the App, you must have a Google account and grant the App permission to access your Google Tasks. Your use of Google services is governed by Google's Terms of Service and Privacy Policy.
We are not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by Google.
License
Subject to these Terms, we grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the App for personal, non-commercial purposes. The App is licensed, not sold.
Restrictions
You agree not to:
- Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable laws
- Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or attempt to derive the source code of the App
- Modify, adapt, or create derivative works based on the App
- Remove, alter, or obscure any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary notices
- Use the App in a way that violates Google's Terms of Service or API usage policies
- Redistribute, sublicense, rent, lease, or lend the App to third parties
Privacy
Your privacy is important to us. Please review our Privacy Policy, which describes what data the App accesses, how it is used, and where it is stored.
Intellectual Property
The App and its original content, features, and functionality are owned by the developer and are protected by copyright, trademark, and other intellectual property laws.
"Google" and "Google Tasks" are trademarks of Google LLC. We are not affiliated with or endorsed by Google.
Disclaimer of Warranties
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EITHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.
We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or free of viruses or other harmful components. We do not warrant that the App will meet your specific requirements or that any errors will be corrected.
We are not responsible for the availability, accuracy, completeness, or reliability of Google Tasks or any other third-party services.
Limitation of Liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE DEVELOPER BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, GOODWILL, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, ARISING OUT OF OR RELATED TO YOUR USE OF OR INABILITY TO USE THE APP.
Our total liability to you for any claims arising from or related to these Terms or your use of the App shall not exceed the greater of (a) the amount you paid for the App, if any, or (b) the minimum amount permitted by applicable law.
Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless the developer from and against any claims, damages, losses, liabilities, costs, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or related to your use of the App or your violation of these Terms.
Termination
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it. We may terminate or suspend your access to the App at any time, without prior notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to other users, us, or third parties.
Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. We will notify you of significant changes by posting the new Terms on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with applicable laws, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision shall be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary, and the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect.
